There are mainly two Organisation namely IBPS & State Bank of India along with its associates which conducts recruitment Examinations for various posts in the Public sector banks. 

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)is an autonomous agency in India, which started its operation in 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS).In 1984, IBPS became an independent entity at the behest of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks. IBPS is envisioned as self-governed academic and research oriented Institute, with a mission of enhancing human-resource development through personnel assessment. In 2011, IBPS announced a Common Written Examination (CWE) for the selection Officers and Clerks in Indian banks. Since then IBPS is Conducting Common Written Exam (CWE) for Probationary Officer (PO) , Clerks , Specialist Officer (SO) and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) every year. Main reason behind IBPS Recruitment is Department provides human resources in various Participating banks in IBPS Such as Public / Private sector banks and Financial organization.

 

While on the other hand State Bank of India along with its 5 associates conducts recruitment Examination separately fgor their men power requirements .


 

 IBPS Syllabus & Exam Pattern Details

In the recent days UBPS has revised its syllabus ,it has set up PO Exam in two steps Common written exam & Common Interview.IBPS has decided to announce calendar of examinations for CWE – IV RRB and CWE-V for participating organizations. IBPS had announced calendar of examinations for CWE RRB – IV – recruitment of officers scales I, II & III and office assistants. It has been decided by the competent authority of IBPS to hold two tier examinations for recruitment of PO/MT and clerks from CWE-V onwards.

IBPS PO CWE is a Objective type online paper which covers 5 subjects Reasoning , English Language , Quantitative Aptitude Test , General Awareness Test & Computer Knowledge. All subjects have their own weightage in PO Common Exam and have different marks. And negative marking will also take effect in total score with 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

IBPS Preliminary Exam syllabus & Exam Pattern

IBPS division planned PO/MT V & Clerk V exam in two levels Tier 1 and Tier 2. Level 1 is as pre exam and level 2 as mains exam. IBPS Pre Exam Pattern contains less target sort questions with shorter time. Pre examination of IBPS exam have some short and multi decision questions (MCQ) from both subjects. Latest IBPS syllabus can be downloaded from the official website of IBPS.

IBPS PO English Syllabus :  English language Syllabus of IBPS PO Exam is a common paper of basic English knowledge. it have General English , Comprehension & Spelling sections which is
General English: Vocabulary, synonyms, Antonyms, Word formation and Sentence completion
Comprehension: Theme detection, Deriving conclusions, Passage completion, Error detection and Passage correction, Sentence correction
Spelling: Grammar, Idioms and Phrases contains IBPS PO Syllabus.
